"The Prostate Cancer Foundation is seeking a world-class correspondent to cover the prostate cancer research enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a sharp journalistic instinct and be able to easily identify stories for a diverse range of audiences including researchers, donors, patients and caregivers. Reporting to the senior vice president of communications, the correspondent will work on an enterprise-wide basis, also working directly with PCF's president and CEO, chief scientists and related department staffers.

The correspondent will be responsible for recommending and developing several feature stories a week in coordination with the PCF editorial board and should be as comfortable in the newsroom as they are in the digital arena. Their stories will be used on pcf.org and distributed to board members, PCF-affiliated scientists and donors. We are interested in ultimately creating a trusted source on advances and challenges in prostate cancer research that may lead to story syndication.

Responsibilities:
· Develop several stories each week
· Collect and interpret diverse data related to research projects around the world
· Build expertise through research contacts and keep current with industry developments
· Meet aggressive daily and weekly deadlines defined by the PCF Editorial Board

Eligibility: Reporters who cover health, politics, science, energy, local government or any other beat are encouraged to enter their work on environmental subjects.
