Daniel Perry is the president and chief executive officer of the not-for-profit Alliance for Aging Research in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1986, the Alliance is the nation's leading citizen advocacy organization for promoting a broad agenda of medical and scientific research to improve the health and independence of older Americans. Mr. Perry's background spans a wide range of health policy, governmental, political and journalistic experience. Mr. Perry held staff positions for more than a dozen years on Capitol Hill, including special assistant to the Majority Whip of the U.S. Senate.

Over the past 24 years, Mr. Changvang Her has been involved in the Hmong community as a healthcare interpreter, cultural broker and director of several programs for the Merced-based nonprofit Healthy House. Mr. Her currently directs language service projects and its \"Partners in Healing Project,\" which works to create more understanding between physicians and Hmong shamans in the Central Valley. Mr. Her facilitates home visits that allow Western doctors to observe traditional ceremonies, and he shares information about shaman tools, altars and the cultural meanings of traditional practices.

Dr. Blanca Lomeli is the regional director of North America programs for Project Concern International, an outreach organization that works to prevent disease and provide access to clean water and nutritious food around the world. Lomeli has over 20 years of experience in the fields of community health and medicine. She has served as director of Project Concern's programs in Mexico for over 17 years, overseeing all operations and supervising staff in both Tijuana and Mexico City. She currently oversees a multi-million dollar project funded by the U.S.
