Merrill Goozner has been director of the Integrity in Science Project at the Center for Science in the Public Interest since December 2003. The Project investigates and publicizes conflicts of interest in industry-sponsored science and maintains a database that journalists can consult to identify possible conflicts. Lance Toma is executive director of the Asian & Pacific Islander Wellness Center, a sexual health and HIV services organization based in San Francisco that delivers local, statewide and national programming with a staff fluent in 20 languages. Toma is a trained psychotherapist and has worked extensively with adolescents and young adults. Previously, he served as director of the Horizons Youth Services Program for gay and lesbian youth in Chicago.

Cathy Kapica is a senior vice president in the Global Health & Wellness practice at Ketchum. She is one of the bloggers at Lazy Cook Crazy Cook. Previously, she was the global director of nutrition for the McDonald's Corp., where she led the nutrition effort for McDonald's worldwide. She worked closely with a multidisciplinary team on menu management, product development, supply chain, marketing and communications to promote balanced, active lifestyles in the 118 countries where McDonald's restaurants serve over 50 million customers every day. As a nutrition scientist with a doctorate in public health, she has had a distinguished career in nutrition and health promotion.
