Henry Jay Forman is a professor of natural sciences at UC Merced. His laboratory focuses on the molecular biology and biochemistry of signal transduction and cellular adaptation to oxidative stress. Forman also serves as associate editor of Free Radical Biology & Medicine and as treasurer of the International Society for Free Radical Research. He received his B.A. in chemistry from Queens College in New York and his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Columbia University.

Dowell Myers, Ph.D, is professor of urban planning and demography in the School of Policy, Planning, and Development, at USC and author of Immigrants and Boomers: Forging a New Social Contract for the Future of America (Russell Sage Foundation, 2007.) He is chair of the school's Faculty Council and directs the school's Population Dynamics Research Group. Professor Myers leads the ongoing USC California Demographic Futures research project, which has recently focused on the upward mobility of immigrants to the U.S.

Dr. Dena Bravata is a practicing internist and a CHP/PCOR research associate. Her research expertise is primarily in the development of methods for the synthesis of medical evidence, such as systematic reviews and meta-analysis. In past work, she has performed comprehensive meta-analyses of the safety and efficacy of low carbohydrate diets; of the quality of life, employment, and alcohol use among liver transplant recipients; and of the differences between dermatologists and primary-care physicians in their ability to accurately diagnose melanoma.

Dr. Catherine Eng is medical director of On Lok, a nonprofit organization founded in the early 1970s by a group of citizens concerned about the plight of frail elders and the lack of long-term options in the community. Eng has always had an interest in health care for the elderly. In 1981, she joined On Lok as a staff physician, and in 1992 became medical director of the health plan. On Lok SeniorHealth is a comprehensive health plan that provides long-term care for eligible seniors living in San Francisco and Fremont.
