Julie Barnes is the director of health policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center. Previously, she served as deputy director of the health care policy program at the New America Foundation. Dr. Homer G. Chin is a clinical professor and vice chair of reproductive medicine at the UCSD School of Medicine. Chin provides comprehensive care to obstetric and gynecological patients with a wide range of needs, ranging from preventative health care to common problems such as abnormal Pap smears, benign surgery, fibroid uterus, abnormal bleeding, ovarian cysts, contraceptive counseling, hormone replacement and gynecological infections.

Planned Parenthood: Shasta-Diablo is a nonprofit organization spanning 13 counties in Northern California, including Butte, Contra Costa, Napa, and Solano counties. In 2004, PPSD provided direct health and counseling services through its 11 health centers to 56,956 women, men, and teens, as well as education programs to an additional 42,534 individuals. PPSD provides services to all individuals, regardless of ability to pay.

Bernard Branson is a medical epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. He was Associate Director for Laboratory Diagnostics in the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention at the CDC, where he also conducts research into HIV prevention strategies. Dr. Branson has been the chief architect for CDC's activities surrounding new technologies for HIV testing, including rapid HIV tests and tests for HIV incidence. Most recently, Dr. Branson was the lead author for CDC's Revised Recommendations for HIV Testing of Adults, Adolescents, and Pregnant Women in Health Care Settings. Dr.

Ms. Abbe Land is a councilwoman and former mayor of the city of West Hollywood and serves as co-chief executive officer of the Los Angeles Free Clinic, a nonprofit health and human services organization that provides free medical and dental care for children, adolescents and adults; HIV education, counseling and testing; specialized medical and social services for homeless and at-risk youth; prenatal care; and legal and mental health services to thousands of people each year.
