Dr. Randall Stafford is an associate professor of medicine at the Stanford Prevention Research Center and a fellow at CHP/PCOR. He is an epidemiologist, health services researcher and primary-care internist. His research focuses on improving chronic disease prevention, and exploring the mechanisms by which physicians adopt new prevention practices.

Dr. Mark D. Smith is president and CEO of the California HealthCare Foundation, or CHCF, an independent philanthropy committed to improving the way health care is delivered and financed in California and to helping consumers make informed health care and coverage decisions. Since CHCF's formation in 1996, Smith has led the California HealthCare Foundation in developing research and initiatives aimed at improving California's health care financing and delivery systems.

Ellen B. Gold is a professor and chairwoman of the Department of Public Health Sciences at UC Davis. She studies lifestyle and ovarian function in midlife women, neurotoxicity of organophosphates in children of migrant farmworkers, smoking effects on maternal folate and reproductive outcomes, smoking and adverse reproductive health in women, and epidemiology of brain tumors in children. Gold received her B.A. in bacteriology from UCLA, her M.A. in zoology from UCLA and her Ph.D. in epidemiology from Johns Hopkins University.

David Olds is a professor of pediatrics, psychiatry and preventive medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and director of the Prevention Research Center for Family and Child Health. He has devoted his career to investigating methods of preventing health and developmental problems in children and parents from low-income families.

Alina Salganicoff, Ph.D., is Vice President and Director of Women's Health Policy and KaiserEDU.org for the Kaiser Family Foundation. Her work focuses on health policy issues of importance to women, with an emphasis on health care financing, coverage, and access to care for underserved women. She also directs the Foundation's KaiserEDU.org project, an online educational resource for students and faculty in health policy. Before directing the Foundation's work in women's health policy, Dr. Salganicoff as an Associate Director of the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured. Dr.
