Yolanda Vera oversees health care, public health and mental health issues for Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas.

She is the former director of LA Health Action, an organization that seeks to expand access to health coverage and care to all Los Angeles County residents through policy and advocacy, coalition-building, linking of existing resources and grant-making to local, community-based organizations. LA Health Action is funded by The California Endowment and is run out of this grant-making foundation's headquarters in Los Angeles.

Dr. Michael A. Rodríguez is a Professor of Family Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA and Director of the UCLA/Drew Center of Excellence Summer Research Program.. An advocate for the underserved, Dr. Rodriguez has significant expertise in the principles of community based participatory research and the development of initiatives focused on improving the health and health care of individuals, families and communities.

Castulo de la Rocha, J.D., is president and chief executive officer of AltaMed Health Services Corp. in Los Angeles. He has been a community health leader for more than two decades. He is a member of the executive committee of the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California; the Latino Issues Forum; AIDS ACTION; the "I Have a Dream Foundation," and the National Association of Community Health Centers, Inc.
