Dr. Murray B. Stein is a professor of psychiatry and family and preventive medicine at UCSD and director of the Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders Research Program at UCSD and at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. His research interests include the neurobiology, epidemiology and treatment of anxiety disorders including social phobia, panic disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

Julie Barnes is the director of health policy at the Bipartisan Policy Center. Previously, she served as deputy director of the health care policy program at the New America Foundation. In that role, she headed the program's Health Care Reform Communication Project, the purpose of which was to educate industry stakeholders and policymakers about the issues in the health care reform debate, facilitate discussions about those issues among the key players, and mediate those discussions to identify areas of agreement. James Lange is the chairman for SDSU's Alcohol and Other Drug Initiatives, or AOD Initiatives, an initiative that works with colleges to develop campus-wide programs to prevent alcohol and drug abuse. He is also an adjunct professor of social work and psychology and student health services coordinator at SDSU. Lange has been the lead researcher on a number of AOD projects and is a consultant to a wide range of AOD prevention efforts. Lange was recently selected to serve as one of five rapid-response investigators for the National Institutes of Health's National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

Bernard Branson is a medical epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. He was Associate Director for Laboratory Diagnostics in the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention at the CDC, where he also conducts research into HIV prevention strategies. Dr. Branson has been the chief architect for CDC's activities surrounding new technologies for HIV testing, including rapid HIV tests and tests for HIV incidence. Most recently, Dr. Branson was the lead author for CDC's Revised Recommendations for HIV Testing of Adults, Adolescents, and Pregnant Women in Health Care Settings. Dr.
