Sheridan Miyamoto is a registered nurse health coach at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. Previously, she was a nurse-practitioner for the UC Davis Medical Center's Child and Adolescent Abuse, Resource, Evaluation (CAARE) Diagnostic and Treatment Center. In that position, she coordinated and oversaw a program that provided physical exams for children and teens who have been sexually abused, physically abused or neglected, sometimes as a result of drug abuse in the home.

Dr. Chafetz's areas of interest include severe and persistent mental disorders, treatment outcomes of psychosocial interventions, medical co-morbidity, co-occurring substance use disorders, primary care, services research, life history methods, family caregivers, psychosocial rehabilitation, wellness models, community treatment, and disparities in treatment of the mentally ill. Dr. Chafetz serves as a clinical supervisor of the Wellness Training Program, located at the Oasis Self Help Program in San Francisco.

Dr. Needleman is a professor at the UCLA School of Public Health. He was previously an assistant professor at the Harvard School of Public Health for eight years and, for 17 year, vice president of Lewin/ICF (now The Lewin Group), a Washington, D.C. health policy research and consulting firm. He has conducted research on nurse staffing and quality of care, the health workforce, the future of public hospitals, nonprofit and for-profit health care, access to care for mental health and chronic illness.

Dr. Sullivan-Marx brings her national leadership reputation and skills to the forefront for Penn nursing students. With a strong background as a primary care nurse practitioner, Dr. Sullivan-Marx teaches the foundation course on assessment, health promotion, and critical thinking at the undergraduate level - Promoting Healthy Lifestyles II. David Olds is a professor of pediatrics, psychiatry and preventive medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and director of the Prevention Research Center for Family and Child Health. He has devoted his career to investigating methods of preventing health and developmental problems in children and parents from low-income families.

Ms. Bain serves as project director for a randomized clinical trial called "Nurse Case Managers Home-Based HIV Adherence Trial." She also serves as director of international academic services for the UCSF School of Nursing.

Dr. Melnyk is presently principal investigator for research, evidence-based practice, and educational projects funded at more than $3 million, including two grants from the National Institute of Nursing Research. Dr.
