Elizabeth A. Bancroft, M.D., S.M., has been a medical epidemiologist in the Acute Communicable Disease Control Program of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health since August 2001. Since 2003, she has gained national media attention because of her work on communityassociated MRSA. This attention was magnified in fall 2007 with her editorial on MRSA in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Dr. Bancroft is chief of the county department's invasive bacterialdisease, hepatitis, and antimicrobial resistance unit.

Sandra McNeill has served as executive director of the Figueroa Corridor Community LandTrust since July 2007. Ms. McNeill returned to her home in the Figueroa Corridor in 2006 to work with the Land Trust after living in Oaxaca, Mexico. In 1995, she worked with other community activists to found Strategic Actions for a Just Economy (SAJE). Her years at SAJE included her role as the founding organizer of the Figueroa Corridor Coalition for Economic Justice.

Roger Doughty is executive director of Horizons Foundation, a San Francisco-based organization serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community through grant-making, strengthening of LGBT organizations and leadership, and increasing philanthropic giving. Doughty was most recently the executive director of Horizons Community Services in Chicago, the Midwest's largest LGBT social service and advocacy organization. During his tenure, Doughty led the organization's expansion into the Chicago LGBT Community Center.

Judith Stein founded the Center for Medicare Advocacy, Inc. in 1986. She is currently the Executive Director. Ms. Stein has focused on legal representation of the elderly since beginning her legal career in 1975. From 1977 until 1986, Ms. Stein was the Co-Director of Legal Assistance to Medicare Patients (LAMP) where she managed the first Medicare advocacy program in the country. She has extensive experience in developing and administering Medicare advocacy projects, representing Medicare beneficiaries, producing educational materials, teaching and consulting.
