Biography

Dr. Joseph Cassady is the public health officer for Yuba County and works with the Yuba County Health and Human Services Department. A Gridley native and the county's health officer since 1992, Cassady also serves as medical director of Pathways, a Yuba City substance abuse rehabilitation center; on the board of directors of the Feather River Men's Center, a residential recovery program in Live Oak for substance abusers; as medical director of First Steps, an outpatient substance abuse treatment program for pregnant women and mothers of young children; as director of a free medical clinic for homeless men at the Twin Cities Rescue Mission; and as medical director of Camp Paradise for children in the Yuba County foothills.
