Biography
Molin Malicay is executive director of the Sonoma County Indian Health Project in Santa Rosa, Calif. Mr. Malicay works directly with project advisors, administrators and staff to ensure quality health care for the American Indian community. Mr. Malicay works closely with the following tribes: Dry Creek Rancheria, Cloverdale, Manchester/Point Arena, Lytton and Stewart's Point. He has worked in the areas of management, planning, training, evaluation and computer application in health and tribal administration. He also is a trained meeting facilitator. During his 26 years in this field, he has focused on health management in public health services and Indian health services. Mr. Malicay has served as a national management consultant to the Indian tribes in California since the 1960s. He has worked for a variety of Indian health programs, including Shingle Springs Indian Rancheria as a health consultant and planner, Washoe Tribe of Nevada and California as executive director, U.S. Indian Health Services as chief of tribal health management, Susanville Indian Rancheria as tribal manager and administrator, Indian Center's development services as the communications specialist, and the Inter-Tribal Council of California as the program director for the Indian Action Team.
