Biography

Peter Greenwald is senior policy adviser for the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD), which regulates air quality in a region of Southern California known as the nation's smoggiest. In that job, he has grappled with the major policy issues related to goods movement and air pollution. Mr. Greenwald joined the agency in 1980 as a staff attorney and rose to become general counsel, helping develop major precedent-setting regulatory programs and drafting successful state and federal legislation. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from UCLA and a juris doctor degree from the University of Santa Clara School of Law.

The Center for Health Journalism’s 2023 Symposium on Domestic Violence provides reporters with a roadmap for covering this public health epidemic with nuance and sensitivity. The next session will be offered virtually on Friday, March 31.
