Based in Atlanta, I write in English and Spanish and have reported throughout the Americas, for print and digital outlets in US, UK, Canada, South America and Spain. This includes the NYT, the Economist, TIME, the AP and Reuters, the Guardian and others, on a range of subjects: education, race, immigration, the Drug War, poverty, social services, business, homelessness...and futbol! I've also been fortunate to receive the Education Writers Association reporting fellowship this year, for a project on efforts by private colleges in Appalachia to recruit and retain Latino students.
