I'm a data editor in Bloomberg's Washington bureau, assigned to the Bloomberg Government team. I've also been director of computer investigations for the Associated Press; covered health care in Texas for the Wall Street Journal; health and investigations at the Houston Post; and an enterprise reporter for the Alabama Journal, where we shared the 1988 Pulitzer for General News Reporting for a series on the state's high infant mortality rate.

I also served as author of Reporting on Health's first eBook and reporting guide, which is slated to be published in mid-April 2012: Health is Everything: Using Data to Report Great Stories on Your Community’s Health.
