Connor Giffin is the environmental reporter for The Courier Journal. He writes about the health of Kentucky's land, air and water, energy policy, climate change, biodiversity, agriculture and communities on the frontlines of pollution. His work includes award-winning coverage of Louisville's childhood lead poisoning crisis and workplace safety concerns in Kentucky's nascent electric vehicle industry, as well as extensive reporting on the state's changing climate, vulnerability to disasters, vanishing farmland and much more. Giffin joined The Courier Journal in 2022. His work has appeared in USA TODAY, Inside Climate News, Investigate Midwest, the Detroit Free Press, Wisconsin Watch and other outlets across the Midwest and the South. Giffin graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
