Environmental Health: Bye-Bye, OTC Asthma Inhalers

Asthma: Say good bye to your Primatene Mist. People who use over-the-counter inhalers to control their asthma symptoms must switch to prescription versions by the end of the year as part of a federally-mandated phase-out of environment-unfriendly inhalers, the Associated Press. The phase-out could affect as many as 2 million Americans.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Disappointing some patients, a new study cannot confirm that the the poorly-understood neurological condition is linked to a mouse leukemia virus known as XMRV despite earlier studies that suggested an association, David Tuller reports for the New York Times.
