Katie Weeks is an award-winning journalist with seven-plus years of experience at daily and weekly newspapers.

She has garnered eight writing and reporting awards including a first place award from the San Diego Press Club for coverage of concerns about fake drugs being smuggled across the U.S.-Mexico border.
