Steve Mencher

Steve is news director of KRCB Northern California Public Media, in Sonoma County. The station's response to our 2017 wildfires was lauded in the community, and gave the station a new sense of community purpose. As part of the 2015-2016 class of Localore: Finding America, Steve reported on religion in Kansas City and explored the role of public media in a Midwestern community. Steve has worked for NPR, the Library of Congress, OVATION: The Arts Network and Carnegie Hall as a radio and TV producer and digital pioneer.
