I began my career in health & fitness book publishing at Houghton Mifflin Company in Boston, where I also wrote for local newspapers including The Cambridge Chronicle and The Providence Journal-Bulletin. In 1997 I became the Parents & Kids Editor at the Community News in Needham, MA. Since moving to Santa Cruz, I’ve written health-related curricula, pamphlets, videos and website content for companies including ETR Associates, Journeyworks Publishing and ToucanEd Publications. I also write the “Thrive” health column for Santa Cruz Magazine and frequently contribute to the Santa Cruz Sentinel. I launched SantaCruzWire.com in 2008 with co-editor Maria Gaura to cover the people and events that shape our central coast community. I will complete my MPH at San Jose State University in May, 2014
