Aurora Soriano-Cudal

Aurora S. Cudal holds a degree in Public Health (with public health education as her field of concentration) from the University of the Philippines. Her career in public health started from the grassroots and ended at the top as Senior Health Education Adviser of the Bureau of Diseas Control, Department of Health. She also served as Consultant of the World Health Organization (WHO), UNESCO and Colombo Plan Bureau. She was the Executive Director of the Center for University Extension Service of the University of the City of Manila, the institution that awarded her an honorary doctorate degree in Humanities. When she came to the United States in 1992, she was invited by the publisher and ediitor of Te Filipino Press to write a column. She has been writing "My Personal Testimony" since then. She was appointed as Associate Editor of the paper in 2007. However she gave up the position in 2008 so she can smell the roses. Aurora is a member of the Association of Health Care Journalists and a Fellow of USC Annenberg School of Communications.
