Betsy Kim is a health and environment enterprise reporter at the Cincinnati Enquirer. Previously, she covered crime for USAFacts, where she led an investigative data project on the national rape kit backlog. It served as the impetus for the Rape Kit Backlog Progress Act, introduced in U.S. Congress in September 2023. Kim graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and film and media studies, including an honors award for screenwriting.
