I am an epidemiologist and Assistant Research Professor in the Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research (CHPIR) in the Duke Global Health Institute. I have worked in public health for more than 15 years, in governmental agencies (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Environmental Protection Agency, local health department) and academia. Broadly, my research examines the role of social-environmental structures that drive disparities in mental health and well-being in vulnerable populations. My current work includes understanding how to scale up, sustain, and generalize community-based mental health interventions in low-resource settings. My research is funded by the National Institutes of Health and the Duke Global Health Institute.
