Cynthia H. Craft is a senior writer on public health for the Sacramento Bee. She has 30 years in the field of journalism, and also was an editor of medicine and science for The Bee. Her career in California began at the Los Angeles Times, where she was an assistant city editor and assistant state editor, sharing in two team Pulitzer Prizes as a member of the breaking news staff. She spent two years in the LA Times Capitol bureau, covering politics and policy, and was Editor of the California Journal, a monthly public affairs magazine. Craft's interest in health care journalism deepened as the Affordable Care Act was in its formative stages and it became clear the sweeping law would change the landscape of health care to come.
