Ciara McCarthy is a health reporter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. She covers public health and health care in Fort Worth and Texas. She previously worked for the Victoria Advocate in Victoria, Texas, and covered local news for Patch in New York City. Before that, she was a researcher on the Guardian U.S.'s award-winning project, “The Counted.”
