Ingrid is a data- and map-loving investigative journalist who has covered energy, climate, the environment and environmental health for thirteen years. She has worked on the investigative team at the Houston Chronicle, on the Public Radio International program Livng On Earth, and the NPR show LatinoUSA. Current freelance work for Marketplace public radio, San Diego's inewsource, Mountain West Voices, the Center for Investigative Reporting and Reporting on Health. Her work has won the investigative Reporters and Editors award, RTNDA Edward R. Murrow, Scripps Howard national journalism, and, as part of a group, APME Texas breaking news and the Polk.
With Biomonitoring California, state health and environmental officials have hit an early milestone in their efforts to discover which industrial chemicals are making their way into the bodies of residents. Research has shown that chemical exposure can seriously disrupt cellular function over time.
