Jeff Gottlieb is a freelance writer. He is a former reporter and editor at the Los Angeles Times and San Jose Mercury News. He shared the Pulitzer Prize for Public Service for exposing widespread corruption in the Southern California city of Bell. Along with the Pulitzer, he has won two George Polk Awards, the IRE Medal and the Selden Ring award. He has written for Rolling Stone, Time, Mother Jones, The Nation and Los Angeles Magazine.
