Digital Producer
I am a senior digital news producer for KTLA. I joined the station in 2013.
I previously worked for NBCLA.com as a digital journalist after five years as a print reporter at Los Angeles-area newspapers, including the Los Angeles Daily News and Daily Breeze, covering environmental issues, education and local government. I earned a master's degree in journalism from USC’s Annenberg School of Journalism, where I was a Dean’s Scholar. I have received reporting awards from the California Teachers Association and the American Planning Association, and have been a fellow at the Metcalf Institute for Marine and Environmental Reporting and the Knight Digital Media Center at UC Berkeley. My undergraduate degree in Modern Culture and Media is from Brown University.
My colleague Michelle Valles and I plan a unique online-broadcast collaboration that we'll begin to realize through the California Endowment Health Journalism Fellowship this month. We believe a focus on food will let us be more personal in our storytelling and more intimate with our subjects.
