Michelle A. Rivas is an aspiring health communication researcher and a health and wellness aficionado. She is currently obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and minoring in Exercise and Wellness through the College of Nutrition and Health Promotion.
Michelle is passionate about increasing the availability of culturally competent health care in the United States and hopes to use her Spanish and American Sign Language skills to conduct health communication research studies in minority and Deaf communities.
She currently runs The Healthy Latina blog aimed at providing accurate and culturally directed health information for Latinas. She also contributes as a health and nutrition writer for New Latina.
