Natasha Senjanovic

Natasha Senjanovic is an award-winning reporter covering vulnerable populations from a trauma-informed perspective, in particular survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Born in the former Yugoslavia, she spent 15 years in Rome, Italy reporting on the international film industry (for leading UK and US trade publications) and geopolitics. She moved to Tennessee in 2016 to become a host and reporter for Nashville Public Radio (WPLN). In 2019 she returned to long-form reporting and investigative work. In 2020 she received a Pulitzer Center Local-Reporting Grant to produce Surging in Silence, which examines the effects of the pandemic on domestic and sexual violence in Nashville and Memphis. Her most recent work has appeared on NPR, WPLN, The Daily Memphian and WKNO. She speaks four languages and has received multiple AP awards and a Regional Edward R. Murrow award
