The Big Vote: Prepping your health reform react story

You have it all planned out ahead of what may be this weekend's crucial vote on health reform, right?

You carefully lined up your uninsured folks, community health advocates, Congressional delegates, doctors, local tea party members and hospital executives: all are on speed dial and waiting for your call over the weekend. Right?

Well, kudos to those of you who had time to prepare. If you didn't, here are some last-minute resources and ideas that may help you out this weekend:

1. Check out pro-reform coalition Health Care for America Now's national event finder. Just enter your zip code to see if there are any events sponsored by health reform supporters in your area.

2. Watch for political ads targeting your legislative district. Here's a sampling from Health Care for America Now.

3. While there will be anti-reform Tea Party (and probably HCAN) demonstrations in Washington, D.C. this weekend, you can check the anti-reform Patients First , Tea Party and FreedomWorks websites for listings of local anti-health reform events.

4. Park yourself at an urgent care clinic (which are open on weekends) to talk to patients and health care providers. Here's an online urgent care locator and here's another one for CVS Pharmacy's Minute Clinics.

5. Don't forget to get reaction from paramedics, who take the uninsured to the local safety net or county hospital in non-life threatening cases, and your local emergency room directors, who see them when they get there.
