The second part of my occasional series on health disparities affecting Native Americans in the Portland, Ore., area ran in today's Sunday Oregonian. This part focuses on the war Native Americans are waging against diabetes in Portland and across Indian Country. This project is produced with help from a grant from the Dennis A. Hunt Fund for Health Journalism administered by the California Endowment Health Journalism Fellowships, a program of the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communiication & Journalism.
