Uninsured? You're not the only one.
Last year's census revealed that close to 50 million of Americans are uninsured, according to a recent Kaiser Health News article. While in 2008, Medscape News used census data to report a hike in the number of Americans living without health insurance for six straight years.
"We've reached yet another milestone in the number of uninsured," said Peter Cunningham, senior fellow at the Center for Studying Health System Change, in a 2010 MSNBC article.
But, why is this?
That's what I intend to answer with my project proposal by highlighting the challenges to obtaining health care for uninsured Latinos in Orange County.
The Hispanic community will continue to grow and with it the possibility of more of its members living without health insurance.
