Suzette Brewer is a freelance journalist specializing in federal Indian law and Indigenous issues, having written extensively on the Supreme Court, the Indian Child Welfare Act, environmental issues on Indian reservations, the opioid crisis, and violence against Native American women and children. She has written for National Geographic, Indian Country Today, The Dallas Morning News, The Denver Post, Rewire, and many others.
