Erica Peterson has spent her journalism career working in Appalachian states, including at West Virginia Public Broadcasting, Louisville Public Media and most recently, Mountain State Spotlight. As a reporter and editor, her work has been honored with a national Sigma Delta Chi Award from the Society of Professional Journalists, regional and national Edward R. Murrow Awards, and a Peabody Award.
