Michelle Polizzi

Michelle Polizzi is a freelance journalist whose work has appeared in HuffPost, Slate, Reader’s Digest, Parade, Men’s Journal, Travel + Leisure, The Denver Post, Explore, Barn Raiser, and The Quality Edit, among other publications. Her work explores class, society, healing, and the intersections between. Her reporting on the housing crisis has received support from The Economic Hardship Reporting Project and been featured on NPR's Marketplace podcast. Her unpublished memoir, “MODEL HOME,” offers an unseen portrait of the housing crisis in Appalachia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in writing and rhetoric from Syracuse University and master’s in creative writing from Wilkes University.
