Rebecca Grant is an award-winning author and freelance journalist who covers reproductive rights, health, and justice. Her book, “ACCESS: Inside the Abortion Underground and the Sixty-Year Battle for Reproductive Freedom” (Avid Reader Press, 2025) was long-listed for the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction and a finalist for the Oregon Book Award. Her book “BIRTH: Three Mothers, Nine Months and Pregnancy in America” (Avid Reader Press, 2023) won a Porchlight Book Award. Grant was also part of the team that won a Peabody Award for an episode of This American Life. Her print journalism has appeared in Cosmopolitan, New York Magazine, Mother Jones, Elle, The Nation, Marie Claire, and others. She has received grants and fellowships from the International Women's Media Foundation, the International Reporting Project, and The Investigative Fund.
