Magaly Muñoz is a general assignment reporter for the Oakland Post and a fellow with the UC Berkeley California Local News Fellowship whose coverage focuses on themes of race and equity as it relates to education, housing, homelessness and local government. Muñoz graduated from Sacramento State and worked on the award-winning student newspaper The State Hornet. After graduation, she interned at NPR and worked at a local non-profit before her acceptance into the UC Berkeley fellowship.
