Rashel Cedeño de Abreu has worked at the Univision affiliate in Sacramento since November 2021, holding roles as a TV news reporter, anchor, producer and digital content editor. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas in converged broadcast media and a certificate in TV news production. Rashel volunteered at the college's student-run TV station, North Texas Television, as news producer and on-camera talent in English and Spanish. Rashel has won four Northern California Emmy Awards for her environmental reporting on California's drought and for her crime coverage in the capital.
