Lara Farrar is an award-winning journalist who covers public health, healthcare and technology for Arkansas Business, where she works as a staff reporter. Her work has won awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, Arkansas Press Women, and the National Federation of Press Women, among others. Prior to returning to work as a journalist in her native Arkansas, Farrar was based in China where she worked as a foreign correspondent for a decade. Her work has focused on higher education, labor issues, technology, public health, human rights, immigration and climate change.
