Melissa Daniels is a longtime journalist who covers socioeconomic and environmental issues in the Inland Empire. Her work has appeared locally in Coachella Valley Independent, Palm Springs Life and The Desert Sun. An accomplished business reporter, Daniels also has worked for the Associated Press, Law360, and the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. In 2025, she was a recipient of a grant from the Inland Empire Journalism Hub + Fund, and she has also been awarded numerous California News Publisher Association awards for her work around environmental, housing and local news.
