I've been covering stories on aging, the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in Texas, the Governor and Legislature's refusal to expand Medicaid eligibility and impacts of the state's new abortion law, among a wide spectrum of other topics. I've been a 2013 MetLife Foundation Journalists in Aging Fellow and a 2014 Age Boom Academy Fellow of Columbia University. I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Columbia University.
