Dan Ross is a Los Angeles-based freelance journalist with a particular interest in environmental issues. His work has been published in outlets including the Los Angeles Public Press, Capital & Main, the Guardian, Newsweek, Salon and Truthout. An award-winning journalist, he won the investigative reporting award in the digital category at the 2021 California News Publishers Association’s annual California Journalism Awards, and has taken home three Southern California Journalism Awards. Ross was a 2022 California Health Equity Impact Fund grantee.
