Yarel Ramos has anchored Univision L.A.’s midday show, “Edición Digital California,” since
2017. She recently won an Emmy Award for her midterm election coverage. Yarel graduated
from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism with bachelor's and
master’s degrees in journalism. Yarel received the National Hispanic Women’s Corporation’s
Youth Leadership Award for her support of Latinx community and culture. She is an active
board member of Corazón de Vida (“Heart of Life”), a nonprofit that provides support for the
homeless and abandoned children of Baja, Mexico. She is also a co-founder of RAYO, a Los
Angeles nonprofit that provides resources and tools for Latino students to reach higher
education.
