Yereth Rosen is a staff reporter for the Alaska Beacon, an affiliate of States Newsroom, where she covers the environment, the economy and health. She has been a journalist in Alaska since the late 1980s, reporting in the past for Reuters, the Alaska Dispatch and Arctic Today, among other news organizations. She has won numerous awards for her work, including honors from the Society of Environmental Journalists, the Best in the West contest, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Alaska Press Club. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree from the University of Colorado.
