Ziwei Liu is a writer, journalist and filmmaker committed to amplifying marginalized voices and telling untold stories. As a journalist for World Journal, she was among the first to cover the Monterey Park mass shooting and Eaton Wildfire, and has provided firsthand accounts from the U.S.-Mexico border, shedding light on the realities of undocumented Chinese immigrants. Liu covers a broad range of topics, including crime, labor disputes and scams targeting vulnerable populations, while also celebrating the strength and resilience of the Chinese community in Southern California. She is a recipient of the Assembly District 49 Women of Impact Award in the Arts, Culture & Media category.
