Cassandra has reported for The Dallas Morning News since 2016. She enjoys writing feature stories, with a focus on race, identity and culture. She was recognized by the Society of Features Journalism with a first place in commentary after writing a series of essays on her immigrant experience. She's a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
