Chinyere Cindy Amobi serves as associate editor of USC News and Trojan Family Magazine. She is also health editor at Radiant Health Magazine. Amobi formerly served as a strategic communications specialist at Berkeley Media Studies Group, helping to train community advocates and organizations in media advocacy and assisting in online engagement, newsletter development, and blogging, and as community editor of Center for Health Journalism Digital, tackling online community engagement and assisting with the coordination of social media, webinars and fellowship programs. Prior to this, Chinyere served as a media professional in numerous organizations, with a special interest in digital health, chronic disease, women's health, and minority health. These orgs. include the Institute for Public Strategies, the National Forum for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Chinyere also writes on a freelance basis, with work appearing in publications such as the OC Weekly, Radiant Health Magazine, Student Health 101, Patch.com, and Wickedlocal.com. Chinyere graduated with a B.A. in Literary Journalism from the University of California, Irvine, and a Masters of Public Health specializing in health communication from Tufts University in Boston. The cold chased her back to sunny California.
